Dewys first pheasant hunt. At the time he was a year old with next to zero training to be a gun dog but he surprised me and flushed two birds on hiw own and retrived one. Hes come a long way since then and though he isnt the best gun dog in the world he's one of my favorite hunting partners.

Here is my collection of photos of friends, family, damn good dogs, fish that didn't get away,  and memories of the adventures ill have for a lifetime

Gilbert (left) and Lola (right) are a pair of beagles borrowed from a friend up north. This was their first time tracking in snowy conditions and they did great. Hunt bred beagles are getting harder to come by as its becoming a lost art but these two showed little sign of stopping any tiume soon.

Brian Welch and his walker hound (libby) heading back to the truck with one more on the last night of coon season.

A rare genetic mutation of farm raised rainbow trout cause some to become a golden color. This one was caught during the 2019 fall season at Apple River Canyon state park. Part of Illinois catchable trout program.
